Wedding Websites Design

As we’ve moved further into the digital age, trends start and manual processes become quicker to perform.

Weddings are no exception to this, and the ability to create a wedding website allowing your guest to RSVP via a computer or mobile phone has never been easier.

If you’re looking to create a website for your wedding, then you’re in the same position I was in a few years ago.

I wanted to make something that was easy for my guests to RSVP via their phone or computer, make song suggestions for the playlist &, more importantly, upload pictures they’ve taken on their phones or camera from the big day.

Features Of A Wedding Website

Most services that will create your wedding website offer a small amount of wiggle room with the features they have available. You’re limited to templates and colour schemes. Also, the only interaction you have is an RSVP form.

With my wedding websites, they Are fully customisable in terms of look and colour scheme.

Obviously, you can have an RSVP form, so your guests can quickly confirm or deny their attendance.

What I’ve seen many times, although its called an RSVP form, all it is is a simple contact form. I create a RSVP form based on your guest list. You can create groups allowing one person to RSVP for many people within the same group or family. On the wedding invites you can also give invite reference numbers, Which will load the group/family when entered.

If you’ve booked a DJ, Most of them will ask you for a Playlist of various songs they will pay during the night. This could be turned into a feature on the website by asking your guests to suggest songs to the playlist.

Now we’ve all been to weddings and taken lots of pictures on a mobile phone or personal camera. But most of the Time, these pictures go unseen by the bride and groom unless they’ve been uploaded to social media.

So I thought, with a website is easy to allow guests to upload pictures that they’ve taken for the bride and groom to then see.

Gift lists are also something which can be incorporated into your wedding website. Your guests could RSVP, buy a gift from your apporved list all within a few minutes on their mobile phone.

If that isn’t easy, compared to waiting for all the postal replies to come back I dont know what is.

What should I write on my wedding website?

What you need on your website, may sound a hard task, but really its incredibly easy.

First of all is getting the Location details regarding the reception and ceremony along with the time of arrival at each — Postcode for sat nav users, and contact details for local Taxi services.

Other additional formation you can choose is having a timeline of the day’s processings.

You can create links on the website so people can add them straight to their Apple & google Calendar.

Not everyone chooses to do this, but having a little bio of the happy couple, how you met etc. is nice to have.

How much is a wedding website?

The cost will vary depending on the features you chose. The wedding websites I create start from £350, which include the website, RSVP form, Domain & hosting.

As the websites I create are entirely customisable, get in contact, and we can discuss further in detail what exactly you want.

Which wedding website is best?

There are many different platforms you can run your wedding website on like Wix, Weebly, Squarespace etc. Or even services which cater to people to build a website for their wedding.

But one thing which most of this dont offer is customisations and the ability to create a smooth process for your guests. You’re given just a few themes to choose from and deviating away from those themes are a no go.

I create all my websites in WordPress as it offers the ability to have full control over the website which the others do not.
